Ann De Krey is a passionate leader who believes that the key to our success, as leaders and as organizations, is to tap into the talent and passion of our people. Ann has led high performing teams for the past 15 years, focusing her professional interest in the areas of learning, leadership development and organizational effectiveness.
Ann’s career path can be best described as eclectic. Ann has worked with both large and small organizations including Mississauga Halton Community Care Access Centre, Circles, Research in Motion, Citigroup, and RBC supporting the learning function. All of these roles held one common theme – enabling people to grow and develop their performance. Before moving into formal leadership roles, Ann worked for a number of years as a business analyst – focusing on strategic planning, market analysis and building corporate relationships.
The early focus on business results with the later passion of enabling people has resulted in Ann developing a pragmatic leadership style that focuses on possibilities rather than problems, and solutions rather than blame. “It is what it is” is her starting point and “where can we take this” is the follow-up.
Enabling others has been a strong theme that recently has taken on a new depth as Ann has entered the world of executive coaching. Executive coaching is a natural extension to the work that Ann has done over the past 20 years. As a coach, Ann’s philosophy is “I will walk with you through your journey – celebrating your successes, learning through the challenges and holding you totally capable throughout.
This blog started as one in which to explore learning concepts and gravitated quickly to musings on leadership and the importance that leaders play in the growth and development of our people. It is highly likely that this blog will morph again as Ann explores her passion for Executive Coaching.
